Whenever you install or use Security System, you must ensure that it meets all the current legal requirements.

CCTV

Some CCTV Systems will need to be registered with the appropriate Government body. Image processing needs to be controlled, managed and recorded in the correct manner and evidence needs to be handled correctly to ensure it can be used in a court of law.

CCTV Images are "personal data", so the Data Protection Act (DPA) MUST be adhered to when cameras are viewing and recording images which a). may identify an individual or b). are in a public space. It is a criminal offence not top comply with the DPA.
